Liam Scott Stinson has arrived!!!

Our darling first grandbaby, Liam Scott Stinson, made his appearance in the world this afternoon (February 4, 2009) at 4:04PM weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz., with brown hair. We still haven't been able to find out how long he is, but with Daddy Christopher, Grandpa Frank, and Uncle Matthew all over 6 feet he is sure to be another long, tall Stinson boy! Momma Lynne is doing better after getting some care for her nausea - bless her heart, she had a stomach virus yesterday and was sick throughout this day's labor. Great Aunt Phyllis was the first family member there to greet Liam, having already gone to Fayetteville to help her cousin through surgery scheduled for Friday. Grandma Jan (Lynne's mom) is also there now. Fellow Grandma and Grandpa LeeLee and Scuba Steve (Chris's mom and stepdad) should arrive in the next hour or so. Frank, Matthew and I (Grammie Sharon) will head out from Louisiana in the morning and be in Fayetteville by early tomorrow evening. Great Grandparents "Nana and Pa" (Frank's parents) will arrive Friday. There will be some celebrating going on as we are all SO excited about this little boy. Praise God he is healthy and he will definitely be surrounded by much love!! Here are some first pictures (isn't technology wonderful?) and isn't Liam a doll?!

Hi Sharon, and congratulations on becomoing Grandma to Liam, isn't he just wonderful. But what a size! He'll be a tall fellow that's for sure. My son was whopper too and other mums in the hospital ward thought he was 2-3 months old. Now he's grown he's very slender and 6ft 3in but still a babe to me (aren't they always!) Enjoy your time with little Liam. Eli

Thank you Eli - yes, we are really "gushing grandparents." Since this is our first it is a whole new world! You are right about our children always being our babies - hard to believe they're now having babies of their own - but what a blessing!
